Privacy Policy

RhinoFileConverter ("we", "our") is operated as an independent tool for converting Rhino .3dm files between versions. This page describes what data we collect and how we use it. It is written to comply with the EU GDPR and applicable US privacy laws.

1. Your files stay on your device

All .3dm file conversion runs entirely in your browser using the official OpenNURBS WebAssembly build. Your model is never uploaded to our servers. We do not store, inspect, or share the geometry of any file you convert.

2. Account data

If you create an account, we store your email address, an authentication identifier, an optional display name, and the metadata of past conversions (file name, source version, target version, size, timestamp, success/failure). This lets us show your dashboard history and enforce plan limits.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe receives your email, billing address, and the amount charged. See Stripe's privacy policy.

4. Email

We send transactional emails (receipt, conversion confirmation, password reset) through our email provider. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in every message.

5. Analytics & cookies

We use Google Analytics with anonymized IP to count visits and improve the site. No personally identifying data is shared with third parties for advertising.

6. Data retention

Account and conversion metadata is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time by writing to support — all associated data is removed within 30 days.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Send any request to support@rhino-file-converter.com and we will reply within 30 days.
